My Dog Training Goals – From Passion to Play
Hi, I’m Amy — part of the amazing world of dog training and the high-flying fun of disc dog! Ever since I started my YouTube channel with my incredible dog, Lola, I haven’t been able to stop practicing dog frisbee. I’m always filming, uploading, experimenting, and dreaming up new ideas to share with the dog training community. Disc dog is hands down my favorite sport, and it’s become a big part of both my life and my mission.
I created my dog training business, SagePaw, not to chase money or internet fame, but to chase frisbees with dogs who light up at every throw. My goals aren’t measured in views or trophies — they’re measured in tail wags, teamwork, and the trust built between a handler and their canine teammate.
At SagePaw, training is about connection. It’s about creating those unforgettable moments where you and your dog are in sync — whether you’re learning a new trick, landing a clean freestyle routine, or just goofing around in the backyard. I love watching other trainers and their dogs too. It’s a shared journey of learning, play, and support.
Competing sounds fun, of course, but it’s never been the core of what I do. Winning isn’t the goal — because in your dog’s eyes, the moment you step onto the field together, you’ve already won. Every toss, every catch, and every moment of joy during a routine means more than a perfect scorecard. Even if the judges don’t agree, or if you start second-guessing yourself or your dog, remember: the bond you’ve built is what really counts.
